It's a pretty standard Spidey game as far as I played. TL DR: You'll enjoy this game if you love Spidey and web-slinging. While this isn't the ultimate open-world Spider-Man game that I want to play someday (no annoyances like news reports, Arkham Knight level graphics, epic story and whatnot), this game is certainly quite enjoyable. Spidey, Kraven, Kingpin, Electro, Green Goblin, Carnage. Also, I like how most of the major character models look. While my favourite Spidey voice actor is Christopher Daniel Barnes followed by Josh Keaton, the one in this game greatly improved from the first game and he wasn't as bad as I thought he'd be. I use the Iron Spider suit for the fire missions, Noir suit for Russian hideouts etc. I also like the fact that the in-game cutscenes feature the suit you're wearing and I do enjoy that.

The suits look fantastic and I replay missions with different suits and with different approaches. The comic book store with Stan Lee (!) is a really nice addition. The scene in the beginning when he's listening to random radio chatter waiting for Carradine's info while working out, the various (awesome) Spider Sense moments in the story, the part where we had to change from Peter to Spidey and back brought a smile to my face. It's the little things in the game that did it for me. The Peter Parker sections were pretty cool and I did enjoy them quite a bit. The boss fights were not as awesome as Shattered Dimensions but still cool, especially the ones in the open city making me feel like Spidey even more. I did, however, enjoy fighting all the awesome villains. While I do understand that the story might make no sense to many, I don't have a problem with it since I didn't get this game for a great story or character development. And if I just want to web sling in peace without being annoyed by crimes/task force, replaying a mission lets me do that very easily. They make web slinging a pain which is the best aspect of the game. While I do think they're interesting and something new, I dislike the electric barriers they put up, though.
HOW TO AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2 GAME SERIES
Just the feel of being tracked down and fighting these things I've read about in the comics and watched in the 90's animated series makes me feel like Spidey all the bit more. The aspect that I love about being a Menace is encountering Spider Seekers and Spider Slayers. This was handled much better in the first game. It would've been much to just beat thugs/save somebody and be swinging the next second. While I love fighting petty crime and saving civilians, the news reports are incredibly annoying taking the player out of the experience.

The Hero/Menace system is interesting in a sense. I don't understand why there's just a single stealth takedown animation when fighting crime in the city.

They're sometimes quite funny and yet, badass. I love the stealth takedown animations that happen in the story missions. But it does feel responsive and is fun, nonetheless. This Arkham-style approach to combat is a bit too simplistic for me. I love Spidey's acrobatic moves but I prefer the combat in something like Shattered Dimensions with a lot of various combos and button combinations. Overall, web slinging is probably my favourite thing about this game. Boosting gets you going superfast super quickly, slingshot is pretty cool (Not too long ago, I learnt that you can even slingshot upwards and I do it all the time), web rush is really impressive giving the game a very cinematic feel. I absolutely love the swinging mechanics in the game. I love it! I swing around New York for hours while listening to deadmau5.
